List of Top 6 Rice Producing States

Uttar Pradesh is the top producer of rice in India. It produced a total of around 16.14 million tons, contributing around 11.89% of total rice production.

With a total production of 15.88 million tons, Telangana stands in second place. It accounts for 11.70% of total rice production in India.

West Bengal is the third-largest rice-producing state in India, with 15.48 million tons or 11.41% of the total rice production in India.

The fourth position is held by Punjab, accounting for around 12.99 million tons or 9.57% of total rice production in India.

Its rice production stands at 9.81 million tons and has a share of 7.23% of the total production in India.
