The Red Sindhi cow, native to Kohistan, is known for its high milk production, with an average yield of 1700-3400 kg per lactation.

Amritmahal cow breed is native to Hassan, Chikmagalur and Chitradurga of Karnataka. These cows are grey, but their shade varies from white to black. The average milk yield is 572 kg per lactation.

Tharparkar are dual-purpose cattle breeds used for dairy and draught purposes. They are famous for their milk production, yielding 1800–2600 kg of milk per lactation.

Deoni cows are found in Western Andhra Pradesh and the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. Used for bullock and dairy purposes, the average milk yield per lactation ranges between 636-1230 kg.

The Krishna Valley cows trace their origin to the black soil region of the River Krishna Valley, Karnataka. They are hybrid cattle, used for both dairy and draught. Their average milk yield is 900 kg per lactation.

Khillari cows originated from Sholapur and Sitapur districts of Maharashtra. Typically grey-white in colour, this breed resembles the Hallikar breed and the average milk yield is 451 kg.
