Top Rubber Producing States in India: Leading the Latex Economy

Kerala has a total natural rubber production of 6,09,600 tonnes in 2023-24. It maintains its top spot with high-quality rubber sourced from districts like Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, and Kollam.
Tripura is the second-largest natural rubber producing state with a total production of 91,500 tonnes. Rubber cultivation is mainly concentrated in the districts of West Tripura and South Tripura.
The total production of natural rubber in Karnataka is 52,780 tonnes due to favourable climate and soil conditions. Major rubber-producing districts are Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, and Shivamogga.
Assam produces a total of 46,500 tonnes of natural rubber. The districts of Golaghat and Karbi Anglong in Assam are notable for their prominence in rubber production.
Tamil Nadu has a total natural rubber production of 23,900 tonnes. Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, and Tirunelveli are the main districts known for their rubber cultivation.
The rubber cultivation in Meghalaya is concentrated in the Garo Hills. The total area under rubber cultivation in the state is around 4635 hectares, and the total production is 23,900 tonnes.
