Apple launched the iPhone Duo on 9 September 2026, as its first foldable phone, which brings a new design to the iPhone lineup. It will go on sale starting 23rd October 2026. It comes with a 7.6-inch inner display and folds down to a 5.4-inch outer display. This new iPhone fold smartphone is built with a titanium frame, an A20 Pro chip, and dual batteries. Apple Duo, Apple’s first foldable phone, comes with various advanced features that make it unique from other pro models such as the Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max.
7.6-Inch Foldable Screen
This new iPhone features a dual-screen foldable design with a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR inner display. It provides a large workspace similar to an iPad Mini and is 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
This iPhone fold comes with a compact 5.4-inch outer display that lets you use the device like a pocket-sized smartphone when it is closed. The inner display also comes with a nano texture finish, reducing glare and reflections. Moreover, both displays (inner and outer) reach a maximum outdoor peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
Titanium Body
This iPhone new model, iPhone Duo, is built with a durable titanium frame, Ceramic Shield 2 on the front, and standard Ceramic Shield on the back. It is available in Night Sky colour, making it more attractive. It also features an IP68 dust and water resistance rating under IEC standard 60529, which has a maximum depth of up to 6 metres for up to 30 minutes.
A20 Pro Chip
The iPhone Duo is powered by the A20 Pro chip, which is also used in iPhone 18 Pro models. The chip has a six-core CPU with 2 high-performance super cores and 4 efficiency cores. It is equipped with a seven Core GPU with Neural Accelerators. It has a Dual 16-core Neural Engine that offers twice the computer power for running low latency on Apple intelligence devices.
Dual Battery Setup and Charging
The iPhone Duo uses one battery on each side of the device. Its silicon and energy management system allows the two batteries to work together as one. The video playback capacity of this new iPhone is up to 31 hours when using the inner display and up to 44 hours when using the outer display.
The phone can charge 50% in just 20 minutes with a 60W adapter and a USB-C charging cable. Also, its wireless charging can reach 50% in 30 minutes using a 35W adapter and MagSafe Charger.
